FAQ

How many showers do you get with each filter?

A: The shower filter is designed to last 10,000 - 12,000 gallons, or approximately 6 months of normal usage. If you have a lot of people using the shower or take long showers, then this time may be reduced.
You can calculate the lifespan of the shower filter as follows:
10,000 / (Number of showers per day x Duration of shower x GPM of shower head) = Total number of days
On average, Americans take one 8-10 minute shower per day, using a 2.4 GPM shower head.
Additionally, the chlorine level of your water plays a part in the lifespan of the shower filter. If you have high levels of chlorine, then the lifespan of the shower filter may be reduced

Can I attach this even if I have a wall mount + hand held shower head?

A: Yes, you can screw onto the water pole that exits the wall. Then your shower head screws onto this. If it begins leaking, you would need to put teflon tape on the threads.

Does this filter affect water pressure?

A: It will depend on the situation. If you already have strong pressure, you won't see much change. Over time, eventual clogging of the filter through it's normal use, will effect pressure. It may be time for a new filter change. We recommend every six months for a fresh filter or until change in pressure, since some water may have more sediment than others - all depending on where you live and how old your plumbing pipes are.

Set Up Instructions

1. Rinse shower filter by placing shower filter under warm, running water for 60 seconds.

2. Remove shower head or mount (rotate counter-clockwise).

3. Clean shower arm.

4. Attach shower filter to shower arm (rotate clockwise to screw on).

5. Attach shower or shower mount to shower filter.
